David Brown, a native of Ohio, was raised in Portsmouth, Ohio. He pursued his education at Ohio University and The Methodist Theological School, culminating in the achievement of a Master's in Divinity Degree in 1985. His academic journey reflects a deep commitment to his faith.
Ordained as an Elder of the West Ohio Conference in 1988, David has dedicated years to his role in the Methodist community. Alongside his wife Elizabeth, whom he married in 1983, they have built a loving family with three adult sons, a daughter-in-law, and a cherished grandson. Their commitment to their community is exemplified through their appointment to Armstrong Chapel UMC in July 2016, showcasing their continued passion for their faith and service.
Elizabeth Brown's professional journey in ministry has been marked by dedication and commitment. Beginning with her education at Westminster College in Pennsylvania and completing her Master's in Divinity at The Methodist Theological School, she has shown a strong passion for her faith and service.
Ordained as an Elder of the West Ohio Conference in 1987, Elizabeth's leadership and spiritual guidance have been impactful throughout her career. Alongside her husband David, whom she married in 1983, they have raised three accomplished adult sons, welcomed a daughter-in-law, and joyfully embraced their grandson. In 2016, the couple was appointed to Armstrong Chapel UMC, where Elizabeth currently brings her skills and compassion to her role as Pastor of Congregational Care on a quarter-time basis.
Amy is woven into the fabric of the Armstrong Community. With a heart brimming with passion, she's been a steadfast member of the congregation since the church's inception. Since joining us, Amy has been an integral part of the Armstrong Preschool from the moment its doors opened in 2013, nurturing young minds and fostering a love for learning. Before stepping into her beloved role in the Preschool, she dedicated her talents as the cherished teacher for our Mother’s Day Out program, laying the foundation for countless joyful growth experiences.
Digital Media team
Our "Digital Media Team here at Armstrong" serves as a specialized group of individuals dedicated to curating and producing content across diverse digital elements within our communication, including social media, websites, live streams, and podcasts, to effectively disseminate our message and interact with our virtual community. By leveraging these digital platforms, this team aims to amplify the reach of our mission beyond traditional services, engaging with a wider audience while maintaining a professional and engaging presence online.

Joy, a relative in the Armstrong family line, has played a pivotal role in the success of the church. With over 25 years of unwavering dedication to the organization, Joy has become the go-to person for guidance and support. She has emerged as the dependable beacon for guidance and support within our community.
Rebekah plays a pivotal role in managing inquiries related to weddings and volunteering for Sunday School and kids programs. She ensures that every Sunday School volunteer is equipped with necessary resources while also catering to the needs of each bride entering our doors, making their special day feel like a storybook come to life. Through her faith, Rebekah radiates a caring and selfless demeanor, embodying a true spirit of generosity and support within our community.

Ben has been an integral part of our music program at Armstrong Chapel for several years. Ben's commitment and enthusiasm, stemming from his lengthy tenure as both member and director, radiate through each and every note of their performances, elevating every service into a truly inspiring experience., His direction of the Chancel Choir brings a wonderful essence to our 9:40 worship service. Accompanied by the skilled Stacy Haney on the organ and piano, the choir's harmonious melodies create lasting memories for all who hear them. Ben's commitment and enthusiasm, stemming from his lengthy tenure as both member and director, radiate through each and every note of their performances, elevating every service into a truly inspiring experience.
Stacy's remarkable talent as an organist and pianist has undeniably enriched the music program, adding a touch of brilliance to the 9:40 traditional service. His skillful tones resonate with intricate melodies, breathing life into each performance and setting the perfect ambiance for the chancel choir to shine. Stacy's dedication and artistry serve as a testament to his commitment to excellence, making him an invaluable asset to the musical ensemble. Her professionalism and dedication shine through in each note played, leaving a lasting impact on all who have the privilege of experiencing her music.
Chester's contribution to our music program as the director of Armstrong's Handbell Choir, has brought a level of skill and expertise that has elevated the bell choir's performances to create a truly harmonious and captivating sound experience. His dedication and talent have not only enhanced the quality of our music program but also inspired those around him to strive for excellence.
Matt has demonstrated exceptional leadership within our Armstrong's Contemporary Worship music program alongside the Praise Band. His contributions have been crucial to the success of these energizing and inspiring musical experiences. Matt's dedication and talent shine through in his work, showcasing his commitment to the music program's enrichment.
. Robert, the Facility Manager, leads a remarkable team consisting of Maria, Jeffery, and Xavier whose dedication to Armstrong is pivotal in ensuring the seamless operation of the facilities. Their professionalism and hard work play a vital role in maintaining the smooth functioning of the workplace, embodying the core values of excellence and commitment.
