Stephen Ministers

Stephen Ministers are lay caregivers trained in the congregation by Stephen Leaders. Stephen Ministers are congregation members trained by Stephen Leaders to offer high-quality, one-to-one Christian care to people going through tough times. A Stephen Minister usually provides care to one person at a time, meeting with that person once a week for about an hour. Twice a month, Stephen Ministers gather with their Stephen Leaders for supervision and continuing education.  If you would like to request a Stephen Minister, please contact one of our pastors, Becky Patterson James Bell or Jane Florer through the church office 513-561-4220 or stephenministry@armstrongchapel.org

Upcoming Opportunities

The Pastoral Care Commission, in cooperation with the  Parish Health Commission, is developing a speaker series covering a wide variety of topics related to aging –  which we all hope to do with grace! These topics are relevant not only to those of us who are facing decisions now, but also to all those who care for those who are growing older, whether they are our friends, parents, or others.

The series will start with speakers on the four Wednesday evenings in
June – June 7, 14, 21, and 28. (Additional topics and speakers will follow in the autumn.) Each evening will run from 6:45 – 8:30 PM, with coffee and dessert at 6:45 and speaker at 7:00, with plenty of time for discussion. All of our speakers are well qualified and will be with us not to give a sales pitch for their services but to expand our understanding
of what is involved in aging with grace.
